Best Home Buying Tip
The best home buying tip anyone can give you is to not get so caught up in the details or searching for the best
possible bargain that you forget what you are looking for. So many times people get caught up in trying to get all
the bells and whistles for absolute bargain basement prices that they forget the original goal of finding a great
place for their family to live. As a matter of fact, it is quite possible to find a complete and utter mess of a
home for a great price, which leaves you with a lemon of a home at a bargain basement price and not such a great
place for your family to occupy. A great home buying tip is not to let this happen to you.
I am the queen of bargain hunting. Seriously, there are few things I enjoy more than finding a great bargain and
feeling as though I've gotten the absolute most for more investment effort. The home buying tip that would have
helped me out the most would have been to splurge a little. This is after all the home in which I plan to raise my
family. I love my home and I was very fortunate to have found (after looking at 52 houses-I'm not joking) one that
both my husband and I could agree upon. This was no small feet. He wanted a home that he could work on and I wanted
a home that I wasn't afraid to bring my children into.
We both wanted a house for which we could afford the notes. But we had a great laundry list of other requirements
as well. We were lucky that we found a home in our budget that met every single one of our requirements. Most
people can also find this if they are willing to look long enough and wait for the perfect home. That is my best
home buying tip-be willing to wait for the right one to come along.
Perhaps the most beautiful thing about buying a home is that the possibilities are completely up to you. Everything
depends on how much you are willing to compromise verses how long you are willing to wait. We had a great realtor
(another great home buying tip is to find a fabulous realtor to guide you through the process) who worked with us
the entire time even through the horrendously long closing process. If you would like another home buying tip I can
tell you from my experience that a home worth having is a home worth waiting for. This wait should be for much more
than the home search process and also include the duration of the closing process as well.
Everyone you meet will have a great home buying tip for you as you go through the home buying process. The trick is
generally weeding through them all to find the tips that actually work for you and your situation. Something that
might have worked wonderfully for your cousin, sister, or aunt's mother's brother might not work well for you
because your situation and needs are entirely different.
Throughout all the wonderful tips and tricks for buying homes you should make sure that the home you buy is the
right home for you and your family. It doesn't matter how great the home is if it's in a bad neighborhood or simply
doesn't work for your family. Of all the tips and tricks that exist this is perhaps that most important home buying
tip you'll ever hear.
